I had this slated for April but I kept picking up new tunes that I wanted to add into the mix! Here is another dubstep mix, building off of my other mix but more drawn out for the heads to hear the whole tracks. I gotta give much love to the 402 and all the inspiring parties lately: how the dancefloors fill have been giving me a bunch of feedback on my tunes. Feeling so good, I thought i’d drop a few of my own tracks in this mix, so here are the premier of Tainted Lover and Homemade Womp. Woo, oh yeah and a teaser to my Corrupt Cops remix! I wanna get these songs mastered and tweaked for release this year, but if you gotta have a tune just hit me up and i’ll be glad to hook anyone up, esp for remix! Word, enjoy the new mix!

Blac LIVE on 90.3 KRNU Lincoln Nebraska - The Beautiful Robot Show

Seth hosts one of the only local (Lincoln) shows devoted entirely to electronic music: The Beautiful Robot Show. I believe there is some history with the show’s title, before it was called, ‘You are so beautiful, beautiful robot’. For all I know it still is, but before the show only played upcoming electronic indie stlye music, now the show has evolved into hosting guest local electronic artists. I got in contact with Seth and we decided on a date to rock out: March 26th 2009. I had about 2 weeks to prepare, so I got together a collection of chill IDM music that I listen to in my free time. This isn’t the floor-smashing club hitter mix, but if you got yourself a peaceful environment then pop this mix in. It’s all about the glitch on this mix, and you can see from the playlist I pretty much just bounce back n forth from Cex to Squarepusher. This was my first venture into this sound, so give it a go and tell me what you think. Also below are the interviews from the show, seperated so you can just get straight to the music. And at the end I threw on some dubstep (by request!) so there is a minimix with songs you can find on my spring mix. ENJOY!

Local Lincoln electronic band, Somasphere, is putting on their annual festival September 26th and 27th. Blac and Knotty are featured artists! This event is one of a kind for Nebraska. There are artists, vendors, fire dancers, massages, bands and DJs. I wouldn’t miss it!

Monsters Ball 2008 - Halloween in OKC

If you think big it only gets bigger…
So my close friends are throwing a party out of town (in Oklahoma City to be exact) on Halloween 2008! Everyone in the Midwest is all about connecting and sharing scenes, but who really throws down the cash to party anywhere outside of their hometown? This party is breaking those barriers by bringing a bunch of talent from all over the Midwest and throwing it all into a great existing scene, that I’ve never playing in myself. I’m siked. And it’s Halloween, so that’s all cool… rave buddies in costume, great. It IS Halloween, so I’d expect some darkness coming from me. I also see a lack of other dnb djs, so I might have to represent there for the junglist >;)
